too soon to laugh about but had to tell... | | we have just come back from having a great day walking around morcombe (even though it was freezin cold it pleased the kids to be out of the house) anyway on the way home down the motorway we seen a couple of broken down cars and we said 'thank goodness it wasn't happenin to us.' All of a sudden my partner had to pull up and told me something has just happened to one of the front tyres. it turned out it had popped. my partner had stupidly forgot to take his insurance papers and couldn't remember what company he was with. Anyway, he managed to phone his friend who kindly brought the spare tyre. In the mean time me and the children at to sit on some steps near some horse stables, freezing cold. the woman at the stables was really nice and brought blankets for the children and offered me a cuppa. she also offered to give me and the kids a lift home but i am wary about whos car i get in esp with the kids so we had to stay on the steps a little while longer.
Thankfully the wheel was finally sorted and now i am sitting in my dressin gown, hot chocolate and the fire on, whilst my children are upstairs watchin the labrynth with hot choc and toast with big blankets.
Like i said i am not laughin about it just yet but i'm sure i will by tomorrow when i feel a little warmer. i was really worried about the kids bein cold but they sat there sayin 'we had fun and can't wait to do it again, thank you'
oh well at least they were happy. next time we plan a day out i will have a check list: 1. spare tyre 2. insurance papers 3. a flask of hot choc 4. blanket......
