hey, i read your story and i have a two and a half year old, god does he have temper tantrums lol, the best thing to do i think is to ignore him if he doesn't quite understand what you say to him, if he does try compromising because thats what i do with my son and it seems to work, if my son carries on with his temper tantrum then he doesn't get any sweets or anything like a treat, but generally he knows when i say stop to stop but there are days when he just doesn't want to listen. i usually say to him "if you stop crying mummy will take you to the park, but only if your good and stop crying" and if that doesn't work all the time then i ask him "whats that" and point to something, even if its a bin because they usually have posters on them of films that have been released. its the simplest of things that take things off of their minds, but then again every child is different in their own special unique ways. im in for it when i have my other baby in October lol. also i take no notice of what anyone else says or even if they look if im telling my son off or just ignoring him, its none of their business at the end of the day, who are they to judge. im sure most of the people that do stare haven't had kids or don't want kids so don't know what its like for us parents. they should keep their noses out of it. lol. seriously hun you shouldn't have to walk out of the cafe just because their staring. you should be entitled to sit there without them staring at you
