my step brother

just after christmas my step bro and his gf parted, he sees his daughter every weekend. the other week he turned up on my mum and step dads door. weve not seen him for a few years. he decided to show his dad what he has done to his arms. he says he needs to self harm to get rid of the stress. since he came ova hes not been back in touch with his dad. it just does my head in so much, that none of them even want to know their dad, but he comes ova and smacks somethink like that in his dads face. His dad has texted him since but he never replys.

maybe your step brother is looking for a way of attention? i know for me when i used to self harm i never wanted anyone to see the cuts etc i wasnt looking for attention but it made me feel better, understandly your step brother seems to have some problems i think you all need to be there for him and try and get him the help he needs and find out his real reasons for why he does it

yeah i was the same as charlie, when i self harmed i always did it where is could be covered up i didnt want other to people to know that i was hurting!

its more attention thing than actually causing himself harm, i agree with charlie that he needs help to sort things out
