it ranges from £50 pound for a 2D scan, £95 for a 3D/4D scan with 4 pics and £150 for a 3D/4D scan with 8 pics & a 10min DVD.

It was a friend that mentioned it to us, she was thinking about getting it done but due to complications and having a scan every nearly every week she didnt bother.

So I dont know anyone who has had one done!

Hi Young.Mummy.

I am not really interested in the sex of my baby and want to keep that as a suprise I think I am just more curious about what is going on in there.

Did u get it done yourself or know some1 who has?

Thumbs up Re: 3D/4D Scans??

I had one with my daughter at 26 weeks and it was FANTASTIC!

Yes they are expensive but wonderful to see. Its such an amazing experience to see your baby in almost 'real life' moving, yawning, stretching.

We also had the sex determined but you dont have to. I would advise to mention to the sonographer that if you do NOT wish to know the sex to tell her as on these scans its so easy for yourself to tell and she will keep the the scanner away from the babys regions!

Honestly though, I thought the whole thing was amazing and I will be having it done again with this baby.

Its something you may only do once in your life and youget to take away some amazing photographs/DVD depending which package you purchase.

My oppinion......DO IT!

xx

Go for it I would say!! I had one with my twins and it truly was amazing! I wasn't sure to begin with as they are so expensive. My hubby wanted to get it done and I didn't as I thought it was a rip off, but in the end he persuaded me and I'm glad he did!!

I thought it was far too much money to pay for a scan before hand, but afterwards you see it was well worth the money! We didn't want to find out the sex of the twins, yet we knew that we were having one girl as the sonographer made a slip up and the scanner went over her and we could easily tell what it was! Like rara said make sure you tell them you don't want to find out!

I think it is well worth it, and if we are to ever have another baby I would definately have one no questions asked!!

So 2 Yes's & 1 No - I would love to hear if any more of you have tried it and what you thought. - I will probably make my mind up at the end of the week.

The experts reckon it is best to have it done in week 27!

Yes I had mine done at 25 weeks, but thats because they were twins and it is better a bit earlier with them. I have been told the best time is anytime between weeks 25-30

We spoke about getting one done but its a bit to costly. They do look amazing and I would of loved to have got them done... if they was cheaper. But we both agreed that within a few months we would see the baby in person.
