i had that too - it's your rib cage being pushed up by the baby. in my 3rd preg the pain was horrendous. u can take paracetamol in preg. it is nothing to worry about but i feel sorry for u - try to get lots of rest n be nice to yourself.

i have a appointment to see my gp tomorrow to see if he can find out what it is because the pain is getting too bad now

good woman!i think its wise to go to your gp,it could even just be a trapped nerve.but my word of advise is that if they tell u everything seems normal,but you are still in pain DEMAND a scan,i am not joking.just to be on the safe side.you must do everything right in pregnancy,and if u feel something is not right u have got to act on it.if a doctor tells u all is well but u are still not happy,tell him!!please let us know how u get on sweet,best of luck! xx

i want to my appointment today and i DEMAND a scan and the baby is fine.
the baby was just lying arkwardly and did hit some nerves the bleeding was just because of the pain and because of my age so evry thing is fine and good.

that is shocking! midwifes should provide good care no matter what your age is. just out of interest how old are you? i was only just 20 when i had my first baby and my next one is due in sep and im still only 21! so dont let them get to you. i had sharp pain too i thought i was going in to labour so i went to the hospital to get checked ou, it turned out that i was resting on my bump when i was sat down and i had pulled some muscles. plus if u have a long baby it may have its feet in your ribs.
