Default tantrums

How old is your child. The best way i dealt with my kids is by ignoring them and praising them when they are good. And when they scream i want they dont get if you give in they will expect and think it gets your attention it can be embarissing when you in shops but whatever you do at home do it when your out so your child knows Goodluck

i am also a mum who doesn't give in which is especially embarrasing in sainsburys when all 3 are winding each other up my shopping trip is a disaster i tend now to rely on shopping being delivered!
went shopping yesterday for stuff to make pancakes though i'd take them with me let them pick what they wanted on pancakes-i spoil as they don't like taditional sugar and lemon-my god i wished i hadn't bothered it was hell on earth think they were all tired after going back after half term i had the two boys fighting middle winding younger up coz he thinks it is highly amusing when little-un screams and my daughter who is nearly 9 thinking she is the grown up and telling them both off and me telling them all off and then trying to ignore them which is great if you have only one but with 3 it is not ignoring them and them getting bored of their own behhaviour as they have each other to bounce off of!
anyway i paid and got home after lot's of tuts and stares and pointing and remarks about unruly kids normally from people who are older and either didn't have chldren or who have forgotten what it is like to have them and sent them to their bedrooms.
had pancakes today!!
they will learn one day i hope then again they were still hell today-i swear i spend every evening crying from how they tag team me!! if i tell them off they make up and hate me together!!

Default tantrums

i know when the kids have tantrums you think here we go again. the best advice i can give myself is really the same as the others. whehn my little one starts i try and get his attention on something else, that way he forgets about having tantrums and what he was angry about in the first place. If i dont manage to succeed then i just let him get on with it and tell him to talk to me wehn he has calmed down and is ready. Give it 5mins if that and i can guarantee you they will come running. The main rule is to not give in to them. They will know they have one and will play on it all the time. if you are fair but firm then they will know you mean business and hopefully stop the tantrums.
