Default unsupportive partner

hi im nikki and i jst found out im pg and due around about the 3rd march.
this will b my 1st.
i fell pregnant 18m ago and had a miscarriage. now im pregnant again by the same man. trouble is he not v.happy bout it.
he says that he is not ready to be a dad, he dont know if our relationship will survive a baby, he is not sure we will cope financially or emotionally, he dont want his life to change, he dont want 2 move (we live in a 1 bed flat that comes with his job, its nice but 2 small) etc etc.
everywhere i go now i c pregnant women with their partners and feel a bit alone at min. there is no way i am not going ahead with the pregnancy but am worried that i may end up as a single mum.
can any1 give me advice as to what i can do?
did any1 else have a partner that was a bit unsure. im 25, he is 30

Default Re: unsupportive partner

When i first fell pregnant i was 23 and my hubby was 24. My hubby was just in the middle of setting up his own business and it couln't have been at a worse time. He was stressed out all the time and we were in around £40,000 of debt from buying and renovating the office for his business. He was like your partner right up until around 7 months into the pregnancy and I felt just like you. I thought he would leave me as the extra stress of a baby would be just what he needed!! But towards that 7 month mark in the pregnancy he started to come round and became really excited at the thought of a baby.

I think it might just take a while for him to get used to it like my husband, I had almost given up hope and was ready for him to leave me, but i couldnt have been wronger cos when the baby was born he couldnt get enough of him and loved him to pieces. I guess only time will see what will happen, but I hope everything goes ok xxx

Hi hun, sorry to hear what you are going through. I've 2 children and would love more but my o/h is completely against it, though I know for sure he would change his mind if it happened again! Sounds like your man is just being practical but hopefully he will come round to the idea as the lady's aboves husband did, fingers crossed for you x
