I can tell you one thing knowing how to knit is not something that you inherit!
My mum is a wonderful knitter and her mum could crotchet blankets to die for but me, must have missed it when they were putting my talents together!
My mum knits for the premature baby unit at our local hospital so there are a few patterns on here that I am going to be passing on to her.

Thanks for taking the time to type them out.x

i was the same with the cross stitch, id get so it was nearly finished but could never get the hang of french knots so most projects just never got finished lol
i think card making is quicker gratification too. no months spent stitching, a few mins n youve got a lovely card and people love getting homemade cards, they appreciate that time effort and imagination has gone into them

Default X Stitch

I do cross stitch and find it really theraputic. It is a form of relief or escape from the hassles of daily life. You cannot stitch and think together or you will get into a pickle so I stitch when I am stressed.
I have experimented alot with my stitching including a teresa wentzler dragon and castle I did. Every stitch on the chart I did four in a square on the material making the design four times its original size. It fills my chimney breast
