I agree! Especially things like biscuits, the price difference is crazy....for a packet of Mcvities Digestives its about 89p but for Tescos own i think its 25p. My fella hates coming fod shopping cos I look at the price on everything we buy.
Some things I have to get branded such as bread and butter cos otherwise they just dont seem the same.

i agree with some things ie bread and butter you need to buy brand names, but things like tea bags and coffee, they all taste the same cheap or not. i also find some of the dear stuff dont agree with me ie heinz baked beans. my hubbys the same he hates shopping he'd just put the first thing he sees in the trolley, not me i check prices and dates on everything.i think it a woman thing.

I have to buy good tea and coffee coz I drink it without milk and can really taste the difference. Other stuff though, I only like Heinz soups, but only like value beans and spaghetti - wierd I know but we manage to save money in some places to spend it in others!

I have to buy decent tea and coffee thinking bout it! I go to my cousins every now and then and she always does the honours making me a brew but to be honest she really shouldnt have bothered cos it never has any taste and she buys value tea bags. We have Tetley and I really can tell the difference. OOOHHHH I sound like such a cow, but Im nice really.

I usually buy alot of asda own stuff even some smart price stuff. I always bought my kids bachelor super noodles which are abot 40p per pack, now they turn their noses up at them but really enjoy asda 8p ones!! there are quite a few things like that. For the cost of them if they're no good you've not really lost anything, but gained a fair bit if you like them !!

the only branded food i buy is cornflakes(thats only when they are on offer) i dont drink tea or coffee, so it dont really bother me that way. mind u my mum in law did say her tea tasted horrible the one day, and believe it or not it was a pg tips tea bag. now we have tescos own and she dont moan.

I'm going to sound like a right snob but we have Twinings tea, Nescafe coffee, Nestle and Kellogs cereals etc, Charmin toilet rolls, Bounty kitchen rolls, Comfort or Lenor, Daz. The only thing I can buy cheap is tinned goods (with the exception of soup!) but I do get a lot of this cheaper than supermarket prices as I buy it from Makro (cash and carry).
Is that really bad?!
