ahh I'm always cooking for the family, they especially love my apple crumble.
crumble
300g plain white flour
175g brown sugar
200g unsalted butter at room temp
filling
450g apples, peeled, cored, cubed
50g brown sugar
handfull of raisens
Nutmeg
-pre-heat oven on gas 4
-in a mixing bowl with the flour, sugar and butter, rub together until it looks like breadcrumbs
-place the apples and raisens into a baking dish and sprinkle with nutmeg and sugar. stir well.
-sprinkle the crumble mixture ontop of the fruit
-bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until the crumble has browned.
tastes excellent with decent vanilla ice cream and a toffee sauce is you're feeling snazzy enough to make.
The traditional apple crumble the recipe is cinnamon and without raisens, but i much prefer it with nutmeg and raisens yum yum.
here's one I made:

I cut the apple shape out just using leftover peel.
Hope you enjoy!
