Default welsh cakes.


250g (9oz) flour,
1 pinch of salt,
125 g(4.5 oz)reduced fot marg,
60 g(2 oz) currants,
1 tbsp fruit sugar,
1 egg
1 tbsp milk.
blend the flour and salt.add the remaining ingredients and mix to a smooth dough.
roll out to a thickness of about 5-7 cm/2 inchs and cut out 5 cm /2 inch rounds. place on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper and bake in a pre heated oven (180 c/350 f/gas mark 4) for about 20/25 mins until golden brown.
