hi there i have twin girls i fell pregnant at the age of 16 with my childhood sweet heart from senior school who i am still with to this very day now nearly 8 years now we officially got together in a serious relationship at a relatives millenium (2000) party.
during pregnacy i was very faint and suffered morning sickness i lasted the full 9 months in pregnancy i was massive i gained 3 extra stones in pregnacy i had a normal labour quite painless for me as the epidural worked well for me was very exhausted at the end of it
there weights were 5lb 11 ounces and 5lb 13 ouces which i was told was good for twins.
it was half an hour difference between the 2 of them
just wanted to share my experience with you

thanks everyone they are a handful i couldnt believe it myself when i found out i was having twins my partner almost fainted too when he found out

Fair play to you for managing with twins so young! I am 25yrs old I have a 3yr old son and last year i gave birth to a twin boy and girl. My only saviour was that i knew the basics when it came to generally caring for my babies. I do not have a lot of support as my immediate family live abroad and my partner works really long hours. Any mother of multiples deserves a medal beacuse i beliee there is no harder more stressfull a job in the world !!!

Wow great story! I have twins who are 17 months, you have done an amazing job to bring them up so young! I found it hard work when they were newborn at 31, never mind 16!

When I found out I was pregnant with twins I was over the moon. We had 3 other kids, but always since being young I had really wanted twins, me and my hubby were both extatic!! I was huge when i was pregnant too, but it was mainly baby weight really. I put on just under a stone, which I was quite happy about!! My girls were 5lb13 and 5lb12. It was very hard work to begin with having 3 other young children, but I would never change them for the world!!
