i am worried about my little miss ashley. these past few nights she has asked for me to leave the landing light on for her, so its not totally dark. she and ryan are currently in the same room as my house is a 2 bed. house, so i cant put on a light in her room. its never been a problem before. the other night john was goin up to use the loo and ashley was sitting on the top step, shaking
so what iv done is iv told her that her peppa pig teddy looks after her when shes asleep, as something has obviously spooked her. i just dont know what her nursery teachers say shes same old bubbly ashley but will keep an extra eye out for her. i dont know what to do she seems fine during the day...

maybe the fireworks are scaring her during the night? or shes having nightterriers have you tried asking her? xx

thats what i was thinking, if its night terrors she won't be able to tell you anything as she won't remember anything is she coming down with a cold or something? my ds used to have night terrors when he was unwell if he got a fever he would scream and scream and nothing i could say or do would help with his worst he screamed for 5 hours straight.
you could try asking if someone at nursery has said something, sometimes other children can be mean they might have told her there are monsters in her or something.

i try asking whats scared her but she rambles low and quick and i cant catch what it is shes said. she seems ok in herslf, and is like a mad looney during the day lol i hadnt thought about the fireworks to be honest :S nursery said shes ok, but obviously she aint. im confused x

Like the others have said maybe its the fireworks or she has had a bad dream or something. I know this might sound werid but when I was little I used to think I could see Big Bird off Sesame Street walking around in my bedroom which I know it wasnt coz it was just my imagination.. so maybe it could be something like that. Her imagination working over time and she isnt sure if its real or not.

Nothing more I can say than the others really. Ella used to be a bit like that, and come running into our room, seemed to be a thing that she grew out of before long. Hopefully the same with ashley

I agree with the others, my brother was very similar when he was younger wakin up screamin and shakin thinkin he had seen things he had just dreamt, then was totally fine durin the day, i think you've done right about the peppa pig specially if its fav toy that will comfort her alot more, she could have maybe seen something on a cartoon or something coz sum cartoons include things like monsters under beds ETC which i think would be enough t scare a young child on a night if shes thought shes seen something like that but has actually dreamt it, I would speak t your GP if things don't improve and your still worried but i'm sure itl pass in a few days or a week, that is what my parents done with my brother wen they couldnt work it out xx
