At the time, my world fell upside down!!! I was 18 and I was totally shocked, and i was so worried about the future. i had only been with John (the father) for 2 months when i found i was expecting a baby. i was really worried at what i would tell him.
we were in mcdonalds when i told him. its not the best time, i know, but we were on the way to his mums who i didnt want to find out. john was really calm about it. i was expecting him to dump me on the spot; but he said DONT WORRY EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. NOW EAT YOUR BURGER. i just burst out laughing with relief!
Although i was still toying in my head at what to do. John said that whatever i decided to do, he would be there. Apart of me thought it might be best to have an abortion, i was still young. it was when i had a miscarriage scare at work when i made my decision. the doctors at the hospital did an ultrasound scan to check on the baby. it was when i saw little ashley inside me on the screen when my maternal instincts kicked in. i was going to be the best mum in the world to her.
now, nearly two years after she was born, john and me are going strong and ashley is the beautiful little girl in the world. im glad i made the right choice for me.
