well my pregnancy was completely straight forward and easy carrie is my second born and will b 3 in august. my contractions started mid afternoon but were mild and quite far apart but i foned hospital to see wot they said i was told to come up and was told that i was 3 cms dilated and they wud keep me in as i cud go quite quick this time. every thing went along resonably ok i was taken to delivery suite at 8pm and was given pethidine and gas and air but by 11.30 the pethidine had woren of and i asked for more so at 11.50 i was given a second injection of pethidine but my daughter decided she didnt want to give it time to work and was born at 2 mins to midnite. this time i mangaged to do some skin to skin contact with my baby. so all in all after wot seemed like giving birth with virtually no pain relief it was a resonably gd experience apart from the fact i wud still say it was my most painful labour yet.
