Were do i start with this 1 from day 1 it was terrible, i didnt have morning sickness apart from severe nausea, i bled on and of until i was 16 weeks, at 24 weeks i still hadnt felt baby move so i went for a scan and was told that baby was facing inward so until it moved i probly wudnt feel it move. I had low iron from 12weeks and was on 2 iron tablets a day which are horrible to take, at my 20 weeks scan my bloods were done again and my iron was still getting lower so i had to go to hospital for more blood tests and at 26 weeks i was sent for another scan and had to attend hospital on a daily basis for iron infusions which is iron fed through a drip over an hour and is incredably painful. I had 3 chest infections and an uncountable amount of thrush. At 32 weeks and still suffering constant nausea i went to my anti natal appointment were i had extemely low blood pressure and had lost weight so i had to attend my anti natal clinic on a weekly basis. At 34 weeks i went for last scan to be told baby was under weight and to come back up in 2 weeks for another scan, so again up i went and was told baby was growing fine and they wud c me wen i was 40 weeks. my due date was 17th jan this year and my final apppointment was 15th jan, i seen my consultant and he decided that i had had such a horrible pregnancy and the fact baby was losing weight again i wud be brought in and induced the next day.

At 4pm the next day i arrived to ward with my sister in law only to b told they werent expecting me and to wait in day room until they got me bed, so about 40mins later i was taken to my bed, i then went to canteen and had dinner at 6pm i had 1st pessery inserted and was hooked to moniter and not allowed to move for an hr. my contractions started within 15mins.

My contreactions continued to get stronger and midwife told me to let them know if they kept coming so at 9pm i told her they were getting sore i was checked and told i was 2cms dilated and wud probly need the other pessery at midnite, by 11pm i was in agony crawling up and down bed (still on main ward)i asked for pain relief and was told i cud have to paracetamol which i declined. At 11.30 my sister in law buzzed for midwife and i told her my contractions were quite pushy she checked and said i was 5 cms and it wud probly b a while yet so she went to get me gas and air. She came back at 11.50 and i told her i wanted an epidural as the contractions were so intense there was no break between them so they wheeled me to delivery suite were i crawled from 1 bed to the delivery bed by now it was 2mins to 12 and was told i was 9cms dilated and cudnt have epidural but cud have pethidine so midwife went to get it while away i told my sister in law baby was coming NOW and get the midwife back so she started calling for help and by the time midwife came back my sister in law had have delivered her new niece.

I was then left with a new midwife while the other 1 went in2 theratre and was left lying freezing cold and shivering while they got my notes wrote up, cause everything was so rushed nothing had been done. Then to make matters worse u r supposed to spend an hour in the delivery suite after delivery in case of any severe blood loss etc my baby was delivered at 12.02am and i was wheeled back onto ward at 12.20.

Now for anybody reading this i wud never be induced again the pain of my contractions was awful and ive had 3 b4 that that were resonably ok in comparison. I am not wanting to put any ladies of the idea but just to tell them b prepared as they come 1 on top of the other and r a lot more intense. This is just my opinion some women may feel totally different after being induced .
