Being a teenage mother pt 2

So, Louise was in my world and was here to stay...I had the support of my midwife, the health visitors and my family in order to give Louise the best start in life. I was lucky enough to be able to breast feed Louise when she was born and it was all like it came totally natural to me. She was an angel...waking maybe once or twice in the night for the first 8 weeks or so and that was it...she began to sleep throughout. Everything about her amazed me....when she first smiled at 2 and a half months old....when she first rolled over at 5 months old. Her first tooth, her second tooth (!) and when she began to crawl at the age of 10 months.
Throughout all this, I forgot that I myself was still a child and needed an education. I had skipped all of year 9 in order to be with my daughter and this was hard. My friends were going out down the park while I was changing nappies, washing clothes and wiping up dribble.
So in the September, when Louise was 11 months old, my family and I made the decision that I would go back to school. I would begin where I left off meaning I was a year behind my peers. I hated being away from Louise but I was doing it for her. She was looked after by my family by day and myself evenings and weekends. When Louise was 3 and a half, she began going to play group. This helped as I was doing my GCSEs at the time so pressure was off me, knowing she was being looked after and interacting with other children. She went on to nursery at 4 and to school the september before her 5th birthday. Louise is now 7 years old and is a beautiful young girl. She is bright, bubbly and polite. I think that anybody who thinks that teens make bad parents should open their eyes. I was 13 when I had Louise and now she is thriving...I don\\\\\\\'t want to blow my own trumpet but I think Mike and I are great parents and I can\\\\\\\'t wait to have more....not jsut yet though...
